Across Stoke-on-Trent, our housing partners have developed luxury retirement apartments which are available as one or two-bedroom properties within a complex that can also provide onsite restaurant, lounge areas, games and leisure facilities and, if required, support in your home.
Extra Care facilities are a new, and modern way for people over the age of 55 to enjoy their retirement. They are multi-million pound housing developments consisting of luxurious, spacious and affordable one and two bedroom apartments available to buy or rent.
With a host of extensive on-site facilities, Extra Care settings are an ideal place for older people to enjoy healthy, active, and independent lifestyles in their later years.Although facilities vary from scheme to scheme, below are a few examples to give you an idea of what is available at each of our schemes:

If you prefer to spend your free time outdoors,you are welcome to sit outside on one of the furnished patio areas, or if you prefer, join the gardening club and take care of your dedicated flower bed.
For added piece of mind, all extra care facilities are equipped with state-of-the-art CCTV covering car parks and communal areas, fire alarms, intercom enabled door panels and 24/7 on site care staff presence.
Although our exact staffing levels vary in line with the size of the scheme, you can rest assured that every site is supported by an on-site Care Manager, highly trained Team Leaders and a team of dedicated and professional Care Workers to meet your needs, day or night, as and when you may need them. There is no obligation to engage with our care services, but it provides the peace of mind that support is there, should you need it.
This, combined with the support from our Senior Management ensures that our clients are not only satisfied, but also that our services remain fully compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The Extra Care scheme care providers are appointed by the relevant Local Authority and must undertake an extensive and rigorous selection process to satisfy the Councils requirements – this ensures that only the best providers are chosen, and that if applicable, your care will be provided by most experienced and qualified organisation.
We are proud to have been awarded six such contracts, and with many years of experience we are confident that you will find our services not only professional and tailored to your needs, but also affordable, flexible and easily accessible. Key 2 Care are delighted to have “Good” ratings from CQC in all 5 Key Lines of Enquiry (KLOE’s) across our Extra Care Sites.
