We have been supporting across Derby and Derbyshire since 2003 and are an established home care provider with a reputation for high standards and bespoke care packages that meet the needs of you, our valued customer. We launched our home care service in Stoke-on-Trent in November 2020, and due to demand, this service is growing rapidly. Our Staffordshire, Lincolnshire and Leicestershire home care offices opened in 2021 in response to customer demand.
Our founders and directors were carers themselves and still play an active role in their company.
Our mission is to provide high quality support to anyone in their own home with a focus on ensuring that our customers can maintain independence, choice and control whilst remaining in their own home.
We are not a care home, we do not have care home facilities, we believe strongly that every person has the right to remain in their own home for as long as they choose or are able to.
Our customers come from every background, from the older person, to the young adult, adults with a learning disability, people with physical needs to those who may have dementia, health needs and those approaching their final life journey.
With our bespoke support plans and care packages, described as the best in Derby, we work with you to build your support with your dignity, well-being, choice and control at the very heart of what we do and agree with you.
We are passionate about the support that we deliver and we care about our customers, we will always put them first and will go above and beyond what you might expect.
As a culturally diverse company, we offer a range of services to suit all needs and have a huge presence in all cultural communities.
We provide person-centred and needs led care that is cultural appropriate. Our Assessor will form a plan of care, co-designed with the user and their family, and our aim will always be to provide home care workers with matching language and culture. We are aware that when people are unable to communicate or understand information in English even minor issues can cause stress and raise anxiety levels.
Our care workers are from diverse communities and many can communicate and translate information as required. This has proved to be vital resource in daily events such as managing medication, appointments, sorting bills/post and a lot more.
We live in a diverse society rich in different cultures and languages, and we’re proud of our ability to meet the diverse needs of our local communities. Our customers have on many occasions appreciated having care from our Punjabi, Urdu, Gujarati and European care workers and office staff. Our care staff prepare Asian food including, Indian tea, curries and chapati for customers, and we assist our customers to attend places of religion and local Asian/European shops. Our Assessment, Care Planning and Home Care Co-ordination teams as well as our care staff contain multi-lingual speakers.
Our carers are trained in house by our dedicated training team who are always on hand to support carers and customers when needed and to provide bespoke training if required.
All of our customers are assigned to a coordinator, giving direct support and a familiar person with whom to communicate. You will be provided with their direct contact details and can contact them with any query. Our in house Quality and Assurance Team monitor all care packages to ensure that only the highest standard of support is delivered - the team's assessors create your bespoke support plan over which you have full control, you will get to know your assessor as they visit regularly and monitor your satisfaction with the service delivered. By providing you with named team members, you can feel safe that you will be speaking with someone who knows and understands your needs and will support you with compassion and empathy.
Our senior carers are on hand to support you with any equipment needs, guiding you towards the appropriate resources and spot checking our carers on a frequent basis to ensure compliance and continued customer satisfaction.

2. You can email us at info@derbyshirecare.co.uk.
3. You can complete the online enquiry form.
In order for us to manage your enquiry efficiently, it would be useful for you to provide us with the following details.
Location of where the service will be required i.e. Littleover, Darley etc.
(If you are interested in one of our Extra Care schemes, we will arrange for a call to you from one of our Extra Care team.)
The age and a brief summary of your needs - what do you want us to do.
How many calls a day are you looking for and what would be the acceptable times of the calls.
When would you like support to start.
Contact details and a preferred time of day for us to contact you.
Once we have taken the basic details from you, the customer and the service that you are looking for, we will liaise with our Operations Team who monitor capacity in that area to ensure we have available care workers to meet your required times.
Following this, your enquiry will be passed on to the Quality and Assurance Assessment Team who will contact you within 24 hours (Mon-Fri) to arrange a more in depth conversation.
You will be allocated to a named assessor who will then remain with you throughout your time with Key 2 Care. The assessor will complete an initial assessment over the telephone which allows us to then begin to create your plan of support, a rota to meet your needs and carers to match your requirements.
This could take anything from 30 minutes to an hour.
The assessor will want to speak with yourself or your next of kin or a family friend to gain as much detail as possible so that we can send out an initial support plan with the first carer to attend.
We believe that this process provides key details and information from the onset to ensure a safe and appropriate service being delivered.
You may wish for your next of kin, or a family friend to accompany you at the face to face visit.
The assessor will always give you their name before the visit and will not arrive too early, they will be wearing an ID badge which they will show to you.
This visit will take around an hour.
The assessor will ask you for some more details and may ask to see you walk, stand, sit if this is relevant to the support that you need - this is to ascertain if we need to refer you to our occupational therapy partners for any equipment.
The assessor will complete a risk assessment of the environments that you receive care within - the assessor will explain this to you.
The assessor will want to know how your support has been with us so far and if there is anything we could be doing better or in addition to the services already being provided.
Your assessor will be available for contact via email or telephone at any time and they or a senior carer will call you every 3 months to ensure that you are satisfied with our services.
In addition, we will review your service with you every 12 months or before at your request. When your assessor makes initial contact, they will also plan to come and meet with you on a day that suits you and at an agreed time.
Complete this form and we'll give you a call within 48 hours to discuss how we can help.
